We are proud to tell you that our unique process and material is a proprietary fabric covering that is woven from organic cotton, wool vissle (a wool fiber) and and a highly specialized formulation of superheated sand, which forms a protective layer over the wool fiber. These naturally sourced materials create a fire resistant barrier, woven into the fabric of the cover, and eliminate the need for harsh chemicals or fire proofing additives used in other mattresses.

When we finally selected our Natural Latex Bed lineup, we didn't want to skimp on nice features, but we're not really a "bells and whistles" kind of company. There were certain "creature comforts" everyone enjoys, like a nice, soft cover, or a bit of a pillow top treatment. These are industry standards that people expect to have, to embellish what is inside, to accent it. Most importantly though, we felt we had to have an unbeatable deal... so, we tried to price our Natural Latex beds at prices even less than comparable models in the industry which offer synthetic latex! The exterior covering had to be removable, washable, and not poofy or too thick, since this bed was designed to feel a bit firmer, slightly more resilient, yet simplistic in design...and less expensive than comparable products, even less expensive than "latex" beds using synthetic materials. For an exterior covering on top of the latex, we knew we wanted something free of synthetic materials, formaldehyde adhesives, something totally natural. We found a wonderfully soft organic cotton cover that gives the mattress a finished feel, soft and inviting. The top and sides are 100% pure organic cotton, never treated with herbicides, insecticides, or other chemicals. The organic cotton cover is backed up with a wonderful layer of wool which offers fire retarding qualities as well as being extraordinarily comfortable. The cover has a zipper, allowing it to be removed and professionally dry cleaned. We wanted people to be "close up and personal" with the latex layer in this model and it was mission critical that the price was unbeatable for an all natural mattress using high quality, all botanical, Sri Lankan latex. Our second model had to offer a little bit more of something, well, unique, but it had to be the bed that would appeal to most people: not too soft, not too firm...it had to fit at the top center of the bell curve of comfort...offering outstanding support, weight distribution and pressure point reduction, without that "caved in" sensation found in thicker mattresses that add layer after layer of unnecessary materials that you pay for, yet don't offer any real benefit..so we stepped it up a bit, but still kept it fairly simple in design. This model had to have the same wonderful all 6" Natural Latex base layer for outstanding support, but with a little something extra up top to offer a slightly more luxurious feel, and we wanted the price to be only slightly more than our 6" model. Our solution: add another layer of buttery soft Natural Latex that is slightly less dense to provide a "cozier" feel. This extra layer is a 2" section which creates a mattress that is 8" in total thickness. Overall, the sensation I was trying to create was a good dose of luxury combined with all of the practical benefits of Natural Latex. We think we hit the mark dead on with this outstanding mattress. If you are accustomed to a slightly softer mattress, but still want good underlying support and no sinking feeling, our 8" model is a perfect choice. It is also our most popular model, by far . Unique Packaging And Shipping Process Keeps Cost Down....

Our mattresses are shipped via UPS. We use a vacuum package system. Note: Twin size shown. Queen,King,Cal King will be same diameter, but about twice as tall. When box is opened and bed is removed, bed expands to full, factory size in about 45 minutes.

One thing we were quite concerned about was the shipping process for our Natural Latex Beds. Being in the bedding industry, particularly on the freight side of things, can be a real eye opening experience. Forklifts in warehouse can damage beds, improper handling of mattresses cause tears and rips that can damage packages, and because of damage claims, it gets very expensive..and you know who ultimately pays for that. According to Bedroom Magazine, a bedding industry monthly, up to 20% of the retail costs for bedding products, especially mattresses, is for transportation and shipping alone. Our solution to keeping costs for our customers down was to use a unique vacuum packaging shipping solution, so that we could ship via UPS and avoid the scheduling and handling problems associated with "big freight". This technique of packaging insures that our product arrives in pristine condition. Our beds are rolled and placed into heavy plastic bags in a clean room environment; the air is then removed from the bags, reducing the volume of the container by about 2/3. The rolled bed is inserted into a shipping box, the box is securely sealed and strapped in the case of larger mattresses, and the bed is shipped via UPS. Upon receiving the bed, it is easily removed from the box. We recommend two people, one to pull the mattress out, another to hold the box, and to assist in mattress placement. After opening the bag (don't use a knife!) the bed returns to its original factory state within 45 minutes, without any harm whatsoever to the bed. This unique method of delivery insures that our product arrives in perfect condition every time. It takes 12-14 calendar days to receive your mattress from the date you place your order . Every mattress we produce is custom made to order, including the organic cotton cover, and this insures that nothing we ship has been collecting dust in a warehouse.
